Well I know that none of you check out my blog anymore, but maybe that will change now that I can write things while sitting on the couch on my iPhone. I hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July and everyone got to see lots of fireworks!!!

Razorback football

Well yesterday was not a good day for Les and I, we got up with anticipation of watching a good Arkansas football game and we were treated to an absolute beat down. After watching the game it was obvious to anyone that knows anything about football, that we beat ourselves! We are in fact playing the 2nd most freshman in all of college football, so things like this are going to happen... but it still sucks. Well as Les and I were watching the LSU v. Auburn game it was announced that Ole Miss lost to lowly Vanderbilt with our old coach Houston Nutt at the helm, so it was pretty funny to hear of him losing to a team that they should have beaten! Hope that everyone has a great Sunday!

4 years...

Today is Les and my 4th anniversary... it sure doesn't seem like it has been that long! Well I am taking her to Quizzno's for dinner tonight, don't want to spoil her that bad. We went out for dinner last night, and low and behold upon returning home, was called out to go on a flight. Well I didn't get home till about 3 in the morning, but I was able to stop by Walmart and pick up a card.

Getting tired of going to Houston...

Well as all of you know, hurricane season is officially here... and it seems that I have been running a taxi service to and from ports of call in the Houston, and New Orleans area. On Friday I took a group of nurses down to Houston from Dallas, and I may have to go pick them up here in a little bit as I guess all of their work has subsided due to Hurricane "Ike" making a B-line to Canada over the weekend. These past two hurricanes have seen me at one time or another going to New Orleans and also to Beaumont, TX and of course to Houston. Needless to say when we were staying in New Orleans, some of the people there wanted me to go out to eat with them on Bourbon St. After being there for about 24 hours I can understand the reason why God has sent Katrina and Gustav in their general direction... I hope that I never have to go back and stay in that godforsaken town again! Well all else is well, had a pretty uneventful weekend due to the hogs game getting cancelled but thankfully "Ike" delayed the slaughter till a couple of weeks from now.

Fire season part VIII

Well I am headed back to Texas for about the millionth time it seems like. Well it was a pretty productive 2 weeks here, got some flying time done in the Cheyenne and I think that when I get back that is what I am going to continue to do. Today is the first day of school for Les, I think that she was a tad bit nervous... but I know that she will whip those kids into shape! I will write more when I get down to Texas and hopefully will get to take the digital camera and take some pictures.

Hello everyone...

Here I am... well I am still alive and well, just been a little busy and lazy recently when it comes to blogging. I got the news recently that our company was not going to be doing the cargo/checkrun to St. Louis for the time being... so I am going to be getting checked out in the Cheyenne (thats the big airplane) for the company. Then in about a week and a couple of days I will probably be headed back out to Texas for some more forestry flying. Hope that you all have not been as busy as Les and I have!

Leavin... on a jet plane

Well yesterday I found out that today will be my last day here in Fort Stockton, TX. Amazing as it may sound, I think that I am going to miss being out here in West Texas! The forestry service is moving the airplane and I to Grandbury, TX which is about 45 minutes from where I grew up in Kennedale, TX... so maybe mom and dad can come and visit me! Hopefully the move to the east will help with the extreme heat... its been 104+ the last 4-5 days or so.
